Salem Transmission Service provides excellent diagnostics and repair. My Honda CRV had started making terrible crunching noises and sounded like major repairs were in my future. Rick did some research and found a problem that was rare in Honda's but not too major. The performed the repairs, cleaning and replacing the fluids and lubricants. The transmission runs great again! I can tell you I was fearful of a huge repair and repair bill and I was really impressed that Salem Transmission Service tried the easiest and less costly repair first. I recently had my older Ford pickup transmission repaired at Salem transmission. This was my first time there. I found their level of expertise and professionalism to be excellent. They diagnosed the problem quickly and gave me an accurate estimate before doing any repair work. The repair were made quickly and the pickup works like new again. I have several other vehicles and will not hesitate to take them to Salem Transmision Service should any transmission problems arise.

Highly recommend this place! After a transmission service from a quickie oil change place, I had to have my truck towed in. Not only did they not fully service the tranny (silly me), they did not reconnect a hose properly, causing me to loose most of the fluid. Thanks to Salem Transmission, I did not have to totally replace it.

not having much room in my schedule or money to risk, the owner took the time to make a quick assessment to confirm that I had a transmission issue and explained the worst and best case scenario.I was happy to learn that a problem he had recognized in prior experience with 2004 F150's was a clip that had fallen out of place just as described in the best case scenario. I highly recommend Rick and Salem Transmission Service. From my first conversation with Rick their service has been exemplary and on a professional, knowledgeable, ethical, yet friendly level that far exceeds most automotive repair businesses. Recently the transmission in my Suburban had ceased to operate properly; a local dealership had diagnosed the problem to be a non-existent 2-4 band and slippage in third and fourth gear.
